The fire department grills, the police open the squad cars, public works and the utility give tours, and the playground runs at capacity.
National Night Out is the first Tuesday of August across the country. In Kenyon it lands at Depot Park from 4:30 to 7 pm.
The Kenyon Fire Department serves hot dogs, chips and a beverage. Children get wristbands and coloring bags. Squad cars, public works trucks and Kenyon Municipal Utility equipment are open for tours on the lot.
